Temporary- Permanant role, Immediate start 

up to £17 per hour

Monday- Friday hours 8- 5 (term time only)

I am currently recruiting for a large co-educational school in North London for an office School Administrator. The School Administrator will manage the administration and reception of one of the school offices. Working closely with the Office Manager, the post holder will ensure high standards in the school offices and reception. You will also be required to cover reception during lunch hours for other schools all based within walking distance. 

Key Tasks:

  • Maintain up-to-date iSAMs pupil data.
  • Monitor pupil attendance and inform relevant SLT members of concerns.
  • Produce and collate reports for SLT or school governance.
Person Specification

Qualifications, Education, and Training:

  • Previous experience in school administration.
  • Experience using iSAMS or similar systems.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent track record as an administrator and/or receptionist.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to multitask and handle a busy workload.
  • Evidence of further relevant professional development.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection statutory legislation and school protocols.
  • Experience in an independent school.
  • Experience working in a school or busy office/reception.
  • Understanding of the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Good IT competency, including Office 365, Excel and Word
  • Good written skills and command of the English language.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to deal confidentially and professionally with individuals at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and meticulous working practices.
  • Ability to evaluate information and data, and actively question and clarify information.
  • Well-developed time management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Manage various spreadsheets.
  • Oversee calendar management.
  • Respond to parent enquiries in person, by email, and over the phone.
  • Help manage CPOMS data entry.
  • Perform other administrative tasks such as minute taking, organising school events, newsletters, and correspondence.
