Tradewind are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join a medium-sized secondary school in Manchester.

Job Details:

• Location: Manchester
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Salary: Up to £100 per day
• Contract Duration: At least until Easter, with potential for a permanent position

Job Description: As a School Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and well-functioning environment for students and staff. You will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are clean, secure, and compliant with health and safety regulations. This is a full-time position with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the school premises daily
• Conducting routine inspections and maintenance tasks
• Ensuring security of the school buildings and grounds
• Assisting with deliveries and stock management
• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Maintaining health and safety standards throughout the school

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a caretaker or in a similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and able to work independently
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
