About the Role

As a school caretaker, you will be reliable and proactive at a secondary school. This role is vital to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our students and staff. This role is for 4-6 weeks from the hours of 4 pm to 10:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily maintenance tasks, repairs, and general upkeep of the school premises.
• Ensure the site is clean, secure, and compliant with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Conduct routine checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and security systems.
• Manage contractors on-site and oversee larger maintenance projects.
• Support the school by setting up and maintaining classrooms, hall spaces, and outdoor areas for various activities.
• Monitor and maintain stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a caretaker or similar role.
• Must have a DBS on the Update Service.
• A strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Practical DIY skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs.
