School Finance Officer - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

If yes, then get in touch today!Hays Education are looking for a finance officer to join our friendly and innovative school team based in the Ribble Valley. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the school's financial records, inputting orders onto PS Financials, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and standards. This is a full-time finance post with hours of approximately 8am - 4pm on a temporary ongoing basis (initially for 6-8 weeks) starting mid-March.

Your new role

• Preparing, processing and reconciling invoices, orders, payments and receipts
• Producing and analysing financial reports and statements for the school leadership team and governors
• Auditing accounts and ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
• Ordering and managing stock and resources for the school
• Booking school trips using Tucasi
• Supporting the school business manager with budget planning and monitoring

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience of working in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a school or educational setting
• Knowledge of financial systems and software, such as Sage, PS Financials, SIMS or FMS
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• An enhanced DBS check on the update service would be ideal but not essential.
