We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science teacher with Biology specialism to join our Preston team, guiding KS3 and KS4 students. Daily rates range from £155 to £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching expertise.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing engaging lessons that balance theoretical knowledge with practical applications, including lab experiments and field studies. You will cultivate a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and respect for the diversity of life

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum
• Punctual and reliable
• Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
• Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
• Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
• Set homework and mark promptly
• Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
• Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
• Respond to questioning
• Supervise and support students in laboratory experiments and research projects.

Personal attributes:

• You will have a genuine passion for teaching
• Experience up to key stage 3/4
• QTS/PGCE equivalent
• Be flexible and committed
