We are seeking a Secondary School Science Teacher for an exciting teaching opportunity in the Brixham area. The role will run until the Christmas holidays with the potential for an extension into the new year. You will be responsible for teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring they have a solid understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

The Job RoleAs a Secondary Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons to students, fostering their curiosity about the natural world. Your role will include adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students and maintaining a supportive and productive classroom environment. You'll be responsible for marking work, tracking progress, and collaborating with other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Secondary Science Teacher Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging Science lessons at KS3 and KS4
• Following school policies and maintaining high standards of behaviour management
• Planning lessons and marking work
• Tracking student progress and providing feedback
• Working closely with staff to ensure a collaborative approach to teaching

Secondary Science Teacher Essentials

• QTS or ECT status (applications from other teaching backgrounds are also welcome)
• A current DBS (or a subscription to the Update Service - we can assist with this)
• A minimum of a 3-year reference history
• Up-to-date knowledge of the Science curriculum
• A passion for teaching and excellent communication skills
