About the Role:Hays Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in Birmingham. The successful candidate will specialise in teaching Key Stage 5 (KS5) and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant UK-based teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will plan and deliver engaging and challenging chemistry lessons to KS5 students, preparing them for A-level examinations.
• You will contribute to the development and enhancement of the chemistry curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
• You will assess and monitor student progress, providing detailed feedback to support their academic development.
• You will create and maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• You will engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest educational practices and advancements in chemistry.
• You will work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources, teaching strategies, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Specialism in Chemistry with relevant UK-based teaching experience
• Good knowledge of the KS5 chemistry curriculum
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
