Reed Education is seeking a dynamic Physics Teacher to join a secondary school in Cumbria on a long-term basis, starting immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach Physics to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching at KS5 is also advantageous.
- Develop and deliver engaging and informative lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Manage classroom settings to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to enhance student learning and development.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
- Participate in school meetings and events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent relevant experience teaching Physics at KS3 and KS4 is essential; experience at KS5 is beneficial.
- Excellent classroom management skills and strong subject knowledge.
- Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model for students.
- Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
