Science Teacher - Prospero Teaching : Job Details

Science teacher - Warrington - ASAP start A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school near Warrington. The role will start as soon as possible, will be full time and will be for the rest of the academic year. There could then be an opportunity for you to continue into September to cover a member of staff on maternity leave. This position is open to ECTs as well as experienced science teachers. You will be required to teach science to various key stage 3 & 4 classes and fully immerse yourself within the department & school, just like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. It would be advantageous if you have previously delivered sessions in a science based after school club or revision sessions, however, this is not essential. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS: Location Warrington Position Science Teacher (KS3 & 4) Type of work Full time Start date ASAP End date - July 25, with the possibility of continuing in September Contract type Temporary Minimum rate of pay from GBP162.31 per day. Hours 8:15am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in science connected subject. Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) in science Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
