We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Science Lab Technician to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in West Drayton. The ideal candidate will have experience working with KS3/4 students, particularly those with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD, and be confident in implementing strategies to support teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and execution of science experiments and practical lessons.
- Implement effective strategies tailored to the needs of students with additional learning needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Maintain a safe and organised lab, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills to support students with SEND in a classroom setting.
Requirements:
- Experience working with KS3/4 students, particularly those with SEND (Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD).
- Ability to start ASAP.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic learning environment.
