2nd Line Support Technician

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: Up to £33,000

Chapman Tate Associates are working with a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Wolverhampton to find a talented and motivated 2nd Line Support Technician to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd Line IT support across a diverse client base, ensuring the resolution of issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating to 3rd Line support where necessary.
  • Manage and maintain customer networks, servers, and IT infrastructure.
  • Offer support on Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to deliver exceptional customer service and support.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in 2nd Line Support or a similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and other IT infrastructure components.
  • Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple support requests.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
  • Ideally, you will have certifications such as CompTIA, MCSA, or equivalent.
