Secondary - Cover Supervisor - Reed : Job Details

• Daily Rate: £110 - £135
• Location: Flexible within the school’s vicinity
• Job Type: Flexible (Long-term and Day-to-Day)

We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for secondary education, offering both long-term and day-to-day positions. This role provides the flexibility to work a minimum of 1 day per week with options to extend from Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates will have prior teaching experience, and while QTS and PGCE qualifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory.

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pre-prepared educational activities are delivered.
• Maintain a constructive classroom environment to promote learning and ensure student engagement.
• Manage student behaviour in the classroom and enforce school rules and policies.
• Provide feedback to students in relation to progress and achievement.
• Liaise with teaching staff to ensure effective communication and continuity of learning.
• Respond to any questions from students about process and procedures.
• Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policies and procedures.

• Prior teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Flexibility to work on an on-call basis, adapting to different educational settings.
• QTS and PGCE are highly desirable but not essential.
