• Salary: £153 - £211 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in North Cambridgeshire. This role offers flexibility in terms of contract type, with options for both temporary and permanent positions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching English and a proven track record in secondary education.

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to secondary school students.
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide feedback to promote learning and development.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching materials and approaches to suit different learning styles.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a constructive environment.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders to maximise student learning.
• Participate in and organise school events and activities related to the English Department.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in English.
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Strong understanding of the UK secondary education curriculum for English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students.
• Must possess a current DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.
