Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French with Spanish) - Maternity Cover

Join this thriving Languages Department as a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, specialising in French with Spanish. This role is ideal for a fully qualified and highly enthusiastic educator who is passionate about teaching languages and cultural exchange. Their comprehensive curriculum spans from beginner to A-level, with a rich array of extracurricular activities including international trips.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in French and Spanish from beginner level through to A-level.
• Foster a deep understanding of the languages through a variety of media including film, music, and literature.
• Organise and participate in cultural activities such as food tastings and oversee residential trips to places like Paris, Berlin, and Madrid.
• Encourage students to study multiple languages and continue their language education at GCSE level.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Languages Department to enhance the curriculum and learning experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in French, Spanish, or a related field.
• Proven experience in teaching French and Spanish.
• Strong passion for languages and cultural education.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students through innovative teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively within the Languages Department.
