We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in St Neots. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for science education and a commitment to student success.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive classroom management.
- Contribute to the development of the school curriculum and participate in departmental activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share teaching practices and coordinate learning activities.
- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Science or a related subject.
- A teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent for secondary education.
- Experience as a Science Teacher in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the UK science curriculum.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity and scientific thinking.
