Section EngineerRGB are recruiting on behalf of a Civil Engineering Main Contractor in their search to find the very best talent within the Southwest.About the role:On offer is the opportunity to join an existing growing and thriving engineering team of Engineers headed up by a PM who can offer career development and training.As well as being supported by the project lead you’ll have the opportunity to work on one of the UKs largest Infrastructure Projects as well as a number of Highways and Civil Engineering schemes to include tunnelling and marine works.As the experienced Section Engineer, you will have the following duties:
- Checking technical drawings, specifications and information and reporting any issues or queries to the engineering team.
- Ensuring that sufficient information is available on drawings and sketches to set out the works in accordance with the programme.
- Report any inconsistencies in the information provided to the Project Manager
- Dimensional setting out and control of temporary and permanent works
- Undertake Quantity take off for materials from drawings.
- Maintain a Daily site diary and carry out daily Health and Safety Inspections
As the Section Engineer you will also have previous experience of Setting Out and understanding of Dimensional Controls, Formation Approvals, Reinforcement Records, Concrete Pour Records, Drainage Inspection Records, Instrument Calibration Checks for the setting out engineers.Site experience / qualifications:For this role its essential that you have a minimum of a HND and ideally Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering.As this role will be working on a live construction site you will also have a minimum of 2 years site experience as well as having a SSSTS / CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid certs.About the person:To succeed in this role, you have a willingness to work as part of a team, to gain knowledge and experience from colleagues and supervisors and to accept challenges with ambition to harness modern technology and construction methods.This company have a great reputation for training and developing their staff alongside offering a competitive salary and generous benefits package and the use of a range rover on site.This is a permanent position for a professional already living within a commutable distance of the Avonmouth office as there will be further development of Projects.
