Security Advisor 6 Months Barrow £18/hr PAYE + Holidays Inside IR35 I am looking for a Security Advisor with a strong administration background to join our client, BAE Systems, in Preston. As a Security Advisor, you will be carrying out a range of tasks in support of the delivery of the Information Security/IT service. Due to the nature of the role, we need someone who holds SC clearance. On the job training will be provided. Role Responsibilities Typical duties include: • Assists with the delivery of Information Security IT activities that are aligned to the business objectives and overall company strategy. • Maintains relationships with key stakeholders and customers to ensure their requirements are met, this includes one to one liaison, setting expectations and working to clear service level agreements. • Contributes to the development and delivery of system documentation. • Supports the administration processes for formal audits on data, products and services; and example task is collecting evidence. • Problem solves by interrogating data and documentation to identify process issues and where possible provides solutions. • Carries out data modelling activity such as creating reports and conducting basic analysis. • Ensures that data and records are appropriately managed by updating documents in Microsoft packages and related systems. This includes supporting the management of department budgets and finances. • Gathers data from a number of sources and feeds the information into their team and managers in the form of reports and presentations. • Supports the testing of new applications by following clear guidelines and instructions. Leadership Responsibilities: • Is generally working to SFIA level 1 • Has a good understanding of their capability and is considered professional competent. • Discharges the duties associated with their role under supervision. • Carries out communicated to stakeholders as required. • Interacts effectively and confidently with the Customers, Managers and Vendors as required. • Has experience in resolving incidents and problems. • Uses foundation diagnostic and analysis techniques to identify the root causes of issues. Typical Knowledge, Skills and Qualification Requirements • Awareness of business unit policies and processes. • Experience of working in a Security environment. • Strong I.T skills and the ability to work with information within a security governance framework (NIST) • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office Packages (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) • Ability to gather and analyse data pulling together reports and delivering presentations • Knowledge of working with networks / systems / software packages related to cyber security controls in use across the business • Strong Stakeholder engagement and management in a challenging environment • Critical thinking with excellent attention to detail • Previous experience working within the defence industry advantageous Morson is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
