Security Architect
Location: Luton - with travel to the office once a month
Salary: Up to £75,000 (DOE) + 10% discretionary bonus
Our client is a global company that works within the telecommunications market. They are looking for a Security Architect that would be responsible for the company's operations and maintenance of their Security Program and helping to design and build their architecture.
The responsibilities:
As a security consultant, you will consult with customers and design customized solutions for information problems. Working with the wider team, you will oversee the implementation of solutions and provide support and guidance to team members as they implement solutions for customers. You will also be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive security solutions using Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center and the Microsoft Defender suite.
- Design, review and improve security architecture to ensure compliance with industry best practices, regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
- Conduct risk assessment and security audits to identify vulnerabilities, threats and risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Monitor IAM solutions using Azure Active Directory, including user authentication, access control, and direct management.
- Manage and maintain endpoint security solutions, including endpoint protection platforms (EPP), detection and response (EDR), and mobile device management (MDM) using Microsoft Intune.
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for data/application security across the organization. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans with operational SOCs and operational teams. Lead disaster response efforts, including search, investigation, containment and recovery. Stay informed about the latest threats and security measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including MSOC, development and business units, to integrate security requirements into programs and projects. Communicate security-related concepts and requirements effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
An ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security or related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Proven experience as a security architect or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Strong understanding of security principles, procedures and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center and other Microsoft security solutions.
- Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, and data protection concepts.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (eg, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, Identity and Cyber ?????????Security (SC-100) are a plus.
- Hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.
- Security Cleared or able to attend Security Clearance.
