Security Engineer
London (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy cloud security architectures that meet business, security, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure secure cloud tools and mobile technologies for safe access.
- Establish and maintain environments for security solution testing.
- Enhance security measures for both on-premise and cloud settings.
- Oversee cloud network security, including firewall management.
- Create scripts for security automation.
- Lead and plan strategies for responding to cyber threats.
- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and encryption methods.
- Stay informed about the latest security trends and threats.
- Manage security for cloud changes and software deployments.
- Document and enforce security protocols and procedures.
- Update and disseminate information on data protection techniques.
- Create metrics on cloud security status.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Maintain and support security tools and systems.
- Ensure adherence to regulations such as NY State, PCI, GDPR, and NIST.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in cyber security with relevant industry certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field focused on Cyber Security or Digital Forensics.
- Security+ or an equivalent industry-recognized certification
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL (preferred)
- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CCSK (Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge)
- ISSEP (Information Systems Security Engineering Professional)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
