Position SummaryThe Security Product Manager role is to manage the identification, development, launch and lifecycle of cybersecurity products and solutions that meet the needs of Claranet’s customers. They are responsible for driving the product strategy and roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Technology Practices, Sales, Marketing and Managed Services. They are responsible for driving repeatability and scalability of existing and new products and solutions. By working closely with Product Managers from other technology areas, the Security Product Manager has a key role in shaping customer solutions with product elements from across the portfolio and developing the next-generation of cybersecurity products, services, and solutions.Role MissionWe are seeking a product leader to build and to own the existing and future market-leading multi-solutions security portfolio that Claranet offers to customers, and that enables cross and up sell opportunities from the wider portfolio.Essential duties and responsibilities• Full product lifecycle management including ideation coordination, technical development and launch, innovation and enhancement - full in-life and end-of-life management within our cybersecurity portfolio.• Create strategic product visions and roadmaps driven by experience, research and engagement with our customers and internal stakeholders.• Centre yourself around road mapping to produce live product and project views that help support a clear strategy internally and to our customers.• Lead product design and development working with internal and external project teams to deliver functional and repeatable new products.• Build, grow and utilise relationships with internal teams, partners and suppliers to support product lifecycle management.• Contribute to our go-to-market proposition strategy. That’s working closely with our product, marketing, sales, engineering, tech practices and our external partners to develop content for campaigns across a multitude of channels.• Understand and contribute to value proposition design to help present our products in ways that are meaningful and clear to our customers.• Collaborate with product colleagues to find new ways of offering combined product pairings or embedding services to raise customer awareness of Claranet capabilities in related areas.• Support sales communities in winning new and retaining existing business through product training, customer meetings and general opportunity contribution.• Financial analysis and performance reporting of products being owned & managed.• Continual competitive analysis through the monitoring of product performance metrics coupled with industry innovations, trends and competition research working with Commercial Innovation function to ensure products are well positioned.• Continual training. To keep on top of emerging technologies, capabilities and trends, make space and time for self-training. Train other business functions to transfer product knowledge and upskill individuals. Work with Sales Engineering and Learning & Development functions to develop effective enablement content.• Create and maintain product documentation such as service level agreements, pricing tools, service descriptions and sales enablement content.• Contribute to the wider product team performance driving new ideas, efficiency and process improvement.About YouBehavioural competencies - organisational and behavioural fit• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.• Influence and manage stakeholders: ability to communicate and influence internally and externally across all levels of an organisation, creating alignment between often conflicting stakeholder needs to deliver effective customer solutions.• Strong written and oral communication skills including presentation skills with demonstrable attention to detail.• High levels of initiative, drive and self-motivated with the ability to operate in a fast paced and fluid environment.• Comfortable with maintaining a regular in-office presence.• Ability to travel to different sites and locations when required.Critical competencies - technical fit• Has strong technical, commercial and market knowledge of cybersecurity products and services, ideally from an MSP B2B perspective.• Has previously held a product management or proposition management role or can demonstrate strong experience of product life cycle management with a proven record of successful product outcomes.• Experience in defining product vision and strategy.• Ability to research, gather and generate new ideas using varying resources such as customers, sales, market insight and partners.• Ability to analyse data and create information that supports product and business decisions.• Service orientated mindset that focuses on how people, process and technology operate together to create value add services for our customers.• Previous experience within the Managed Service Provider field.• Understand and have experience of methodologies like Agile: understand their value, but don’t believe there’s only one right way to get work done.• Knowledge and experience of using roadmaps and product communications methods and tools.Objectives and Key ResultsThe Security Product Manager is part of a team representing a portfolio with over £110m per annum in revenue. The key objectives will be to• Develop and innovate cybersecurity products that will contribute to our revenue and margin growth• Ensure that products meet customer needs by building effective feedback mechanisms• Measure and report product performance, proposing actions based on results• Identify and execute opportunities for cross-portfolio collaboration to build wider customer solutions• Maintain an up-to-date product / service catalogue and drive sales awareness / enablement• Work with commercial innovation function to ensure pricing model is optimal
