Bright Side Recruitment Ltd is absolutely thrilled to be assisting one of South East London’s most highly respected, family run Safety Installation companies in their search for a skilled and dedicated Security Systems Installer to join their team. The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

08.30 to 17.30 - Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities

As a Security Systems Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of a variety of security systems, including fire alarms, gate automation, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control for residential and commercial premises.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Installation of fire alarm, gate automation, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control systems
  • Service and maintenance of existing systems
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
  • Ensure projects run smoothly through servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Keeping the lines of communication open with clients and team members
  • Monitor systems for irregular behaviour and set up preventive measures
  • Ability to demonstrate systems to customers, and user training
  • Elaboration of quotations
  • Good attention to detail to ensuring that all paperwork is correctly completed, and procedures are followed within the allotted timescales

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of two years of experience in security system installation
  • Basic electrical knowledge, including the ability to measure voltage and current drain
  • The ability to read and interpret schematical drawings
  • Computer literacy
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • An unrivalled customer-centric approach
  • Proficiency in industry standards and regulations, including Health & Safety protocols
  • Organisation, cleanliness, and efficiency on job sites
  • Physical capability to lift objects and navigate ladders for work at heights
  • A full and valid UK Driving Licence
