Reeson Education is working closely with a fantastic alternative provision in the SK15 postcode to find an experienced SEMH Teacher to join their dedicated team. This setting supports pupils aged 11 to 16 who face barriers to learning due to social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as other complex challenges.

About the SEMH Teacher Role:

  • Teach small groups of pupils (5 or fewer), focusing on delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
  • Support learners aged 11 to 16 with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other needs in a nurturing and structured environment.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to engage and inspire learners, fostering resilience and building confidence.
  • Work closely with support staff to provide a cohesive and supportive learning experience for every pupil.
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, with potential to become permanent after a successful period.

The Ideal SEMH Teacher Will:

  • Have experience as a SEMH Teacher or in a similar role teaching pupils with SEMH and complex needs.
  • Be skilled in adapting lessons and approaches to suit a wide range of learning abilities.
  • Hold QTS or the equivalent (ESSENTIAL)
  • Demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping children overcome barriers to education.
  • Be confident in building strong relationships with pupils and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team setting, working alongside support staff to meet pupils' diverse needs.
