We're working closely with a wonderful special school in South Bristol that are looking for a Learning Mentor to join the school immediately.

The school are incredibly well respected in the area and boast a team of staff that love what they do!

The role

This role is most similar to a LSA role, so you will provide general classroom support and support the teacher with whatever they need. This role though does involve a little more responsibility than a standard LSA role as you will be providing additional support on a pastoral side with 1-1 support. Candidates with a physcology degree (or similar) will have a natural advantage with this role.

This role requires people who are adaptable, positive, patient and confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. Due to the slightly increased responsibility with the role, ideally you would have experience working in schools with ASD students.
