Job Title: SEN Planning Review OfficerLocation: Dorchester (Remote)Contract Type: TemporarySalary: £280 (Umbrella) per dayMyn is recruiting for our long-term partner, seeking a committed SEN Planning Review Officer to support and enhance the planning and review of SEND processes. This role is key to ensuring the voices of children and families are central to the EHCP process.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:• Your main task will be to support the completion of EHCPs and other SEND processes within expected guidelines ensuring that the voice of the children and their families are included.• You will also need to be familiar with the SEND Tribunal process and mechanisms for families to appeal.• You will attend a variety of multi-agency meetings to provide your expertise in understanding children’s needs and how best to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.• You will support the team in maintaining clear and up to date data, and as part of your role, you will be required to keep detailed records of your work with children and families and to review their progress regularly.• You will need good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and work to deadlines. You will be required to work within tight budgets.• You will work as part of a multi-agency team.• There will be lots of opportunities to work with staff from other areas and disciplines as well as the opportunity to come together with the other SEND professionals in the county for regular training and peer support sessions.Required Skills and Qualifications:• You will hold a relevant professional qualification – minimum GCSE English and maths grade C or above with post qualification training and experiences.• You will have relevant experience of working within the SEN field and an understanding of the relevant statutory processes.• You will have a good understanding of the work undertaken by Local Authorities or in complex organisations.• You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.• You will be able to write clear reports relating to children’s progress and their individual needs.• You will be an able administrator, able to record, compile and use data to inform the practice and performance of the service.• You will be willing to work proactively as part of a wider locality team and share information and knowledge relating to SEND with other professionals.• You will be an advocate of inclusion.• Full UK Drivers LicenseIf you’re dedicated to supporting SEND outcomes and championing inclusion, this is a unique opportunity to make a difference.
