We are supporting a seeking a specialist provision in their search for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their dynamic team. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of classroom practice including planning, teaching, assessment, and reporting.
- Set and monitor high expectations for student achievement and wellbeing.
- Use data effectively to track and monitor student progress.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of learning outcomes and teaching strategies.
- Lead the development of the curriculum and teaching materials that cater to the needs of the students.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Manage a team of teaching assistants and work collaboratively with other staff to meet students’ needs.
- Engage in community and liaison activities, including open days and parent/carer events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a SEND Teacher or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the PMLD field and commitment to innovative teaching approaches.
- Ability to analyse and evaluate performance data to enhance student learning.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in managing classroom environments and implementing effective teaching strategies.
