Reception and Administration Assistant

- Working Hours: 36 hours per week (Term time only + 5 INSET Days)
We are looking for a dedicated Reception and Administration Assistant to provide general clerical and administrative support under the direction of the School Support Manager. This role is integral to the smooth running of the school’s daily operations and requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills.
Day to Day of the role:
- Act as the first point of contact for the school, managing reception duties, telephone and face-to-face enquiries, and ensuring messages are passed on promptly.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, operate the school office email account, and send out correspondence via Parentmail.
- Meet and greet visitors, ensuring meeting rooms and facilities are prepared to present a professional image at all times.
- Provide clerical support including photocopying, scanning, and managing office equipment.
- Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team with diary management and correspondence.
- Assist with the referrals and admissions process, including booking parental visits and arranging student assessments.
- Manage student welfare by being the first point of contact for sick students and overseeing student transport arrangements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Recent training in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Training and/or qualification in administration/clerical activities to level 2 and working towards level 3.
- Experience with administrative systems and working as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in ICT, including MS Office.
- Ability to present information clearly and communicate effectively.
- Highly effective organisation and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, with autonomy, and to meet deadlines.
