Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers with lesson delivery across KS3 and KS4, ensuring SEN students are engaged and supported effectively.
- 1:1 and Group Support: Provide targeted assistance to students with special educational needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
- Resource Preparation: Organise and manage learning materials to ensure lessons run smoothly.
- Student Progress: Monitor and record students' development, offering feedback to teachers and contributing to progress assessments.
- Enrichment Activities: Support extracurricular initiatives, such as clubs, workshops, and educational trips, fostering a holistic learning experience.
About You:
- Experience: Previous experience working with SEN children or young people in roles such as Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Support Worker, Tutor, or Sports Coach.
- Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting students and inspiring them to succeed.
- Organised: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude, working effectively with teachers and school staff.
- Desirable: Experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity is a bonus but not essential.
