Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: Crosby Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Long-Term Temporary Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm Pay: GBP95+ About the Role: Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for students with additional needs at a school in Crosby. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, or other special educational needs in both classroom and non-classroom settings. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive and structured learning environment, supporting the emotional and academic development of students with SEN. Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support to students, ensuring their educational and social needs are met. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students remain engaged and on-task. Implement personalised strategies to support challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor and enhance student progress. Requirements: Qualifications: A Teaching Assistant qualification (or higher/equivalent) is preferred. Experience: Prior experience working with SEN children, especially those with Autism or ADHD. Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable; can be provided). Skills: Patience, resilience, and strong communication skills. You must hold the Right to Work in the UK and have an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to process a new application).
