Role Overview: This school is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN English Teacher to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to Key Stage 3 students, with a focus on developing functional skills. This role is pivotal in helping our students achieve their full potential and preparing them for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3, preferably with SEN students.
  • Strong understanding of functional skills and their application in the curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
