SEN Teacher - Horizon Teachers : Job Details

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to join a dynamic team in a Secondary Complex Needs School located in Islington, London. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced SEND Teacher who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with complex learning requirements.
• Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants and support staff, to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address specific learning goals and objectives for each student.
• Employ a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of the SEND curriculum.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with students with complex needs in a secondary school setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND practices and a commitment to inclusive education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with various abilities.
