Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Haringey from September 2024 until July 2025.

Start date: September 2024

Salary: £85-£95 per day

This is a Catholic school that welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. With an experienced and established senior leadership team, it has a busy, creative atmosphere. The school has good public transport links and they are a 10-minute walk from the nearest tube station, as well as a car park for staff. They were awarded an "outstanding" grade following an OFSTED inspection last year.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with a range of students with special needs, including ADHD and behavioural needs, so the position offers great variety, as you'll be working with different students during the week.

You should be consistent in your approach, calm, firm but fair and be able to set clear expectations of behaviour. It's essential to have a positive approach with the students and a good sense of humour!

The school are interested in meeting Teaching Assistants with school experience but will also consider enthusiastic candidates who are looking to start their career in education. They are particularly interested in graduates who are considering teacher training in the future as they are a training school and may be able to offer this to proven and committed candidates.

The school is looking to trial prospective candidates as soon as possible.

The role pays £80 - £85 per day, and it presents an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant and supportive school community.

• Ideally be a graduate or have previous experience of working children or young people in a school
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
