Amazing Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term-Time Only)

About the Role:In this role, you will support students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Working alongside our experienced teaching team, you'll assist both in the classroom and through hands-on outdoor activities such as Bushcraft and life skills. Your involvement will be crucial to their academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised support and ensure students' safety and well-being.
• Assist students in achieving goals set out in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
• Use positive behavior management strategies tailored to each student.
• Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety concerns.
• Promote positive social interactions and teamwork among students.

• A strong desire to work with young people and build trusting relationships.
• The ability to handle challenging behaviors.
• A creative, positive approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are desirable but not required.
