Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term-Time Only)

Are you driven to help young people achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the picturesque village of Cranborne, Dorset.

Position: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Cranborne, DorsetHourly Pay: £11.72 - £12.78Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only

About the Role:

You'll support students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Working closely with our experienced teaching team, you'll assist both in the classroom and in outdoor, hands-on activities such as Bushcraft and life skills. Your role will be key in helping students progress academically and develop personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support while ensuring students' safety and well-being.
  • Help students achieve the goals outlined in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
  • Implement positive behavior management strategies suited to each student.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety matters.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and teamwork among students.

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
