Position: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border Hourly Rate: £11.72 - £12.78 per hourAnnual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be vital in supporting students aged 5-19, who have social, emotional struggles, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs. Collaborating with our experienced teaching staff, you will offer academic and vocational support to help students thrive both educationally and personally. Whether in the classroom, during Bushcraft activities outdoors, or in life skills sessions, your contribution will have a meaningful impact.

In this role, you will provide essential support in a highly specialised learning environment, helping students to manage sensory overload, anxiety, and transitions while working towards their personal and educational goals. You'll be working both inside the classroom and within the wider community to create a positive and empowering environment for all learners.

• Provide tailored support to students in their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
• Assist students with personal and educational goals, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
• Promote an environment that values equality, diversity, and respect for all.
• Play a proactive role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students in developing confidence and independence.
• Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for students, focusing on their transition into adult life.
