Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary located on the outskirts of Chester as they are looking to recruit a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support 3 pupils in KS1 with SEN. This is long-term full-time contract starting in January.Your new roleAs a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting 3 pupils across KS1 with diagnosed SEN and EHCP's. The pupils you will be supporting do have a diagnosis of ASD, are high capacity, but all have very different and individual personalities. You will take a pupil-centred approach to their education, ensuring that their individual needs and personalities are met and to enable you to build strong constructive relationships. The pupils you will be supporting all struggle with engagement and focus during lessons so you will be required to implement a myriad of techniques to promote engagement with learning material including games, positive reinforcement and sensory play.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as recent referenceable experience supporting children and/or young people with complex needs, as well as:
