About the role:
Supporting the classroom teacher in managing the class and supporting students in focusing and engaging in their learning
You may be asked to work across their other sites and outreach centres
Get the classroom ready for lessons
Supervise group activities or work with students on a 1:1 basis, depending on need
Provide a healthy and safe learning environment for children
Build meaningful and long-lasting relationships to help students excel both academically, socially and emotionally
Requirements:
Experience working with children with special educational needs
Strong knowledge and understanding of strategies to support young people with both their studies and wellbeing
Understanding of additional needs including autism, ADHD and aspergers
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Must be able to drive, have access to your own vehicle (must have been driving for at least 2 years)
