Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Learning Support Assistant)

Location: Plymouth

Pay Rate: 85-90 per day

Work type: Full time

Start date: Immediate and January starts are also available

Responsibilities as SEN TA:

  • Create an engaging classroom environment
  • Provide an individual support to the needy students
  • Engage the students with activities and ensure full participation
  • Support the teacher with lesson plans and strategies
  • Liaise with parents, teacher and colleagues regarding child progress
  • Provide personal care and assistance when needed
  • Monitor and record student's progress
  • Ensure safety and well being of the children

Requirements for this position:

  • Eligibility to work
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service
  • Professional references with clean records
  • Previous experience in the UK schools or assisting children with learning difficulties, ADHD, Autism etc.
  • Strong communication skills and behaviour management
  • Driving on own by car is desirable
