We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist school in Eccles, Salford. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive staff team and make a positive impact on the academic and personal development of students.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support students across a range of subjects and a range of Special Education Needs, providing tailored assistance to meet individual learning needs. If you have previous experience working with school-aged children and are passionate about helping students succeed, this could be the ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning across different subjects, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring students are engaged and progressing.
  • Provide additional support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and assist with classroom management.
  • Help with monitoring and tracking student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with school students, preferably in a teaching assistant or support role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from teachers.
  • Passionate about education and supporting students' academic and personal growth.
