SEN Teaching Assistant - Reed : Job Details

Reed Education are working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Macclesfield. The school is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. They are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team and support our students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support the learning and development of students.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Support students with personal care needs, if required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
