Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Wanted for Primary School in Peacehaven

Engage Education is partnering with a Primary School who are looking for an experience Teaching Assistant to work with young children with additoinal needs. This school provides support to children aged 5 to 11 with various needs such as ASC, ADHD and language challenges. If you're caring, patient, and eager to join a supportive SEND school environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Our school promotes a total communication approach, utilising diverse strategies to help students develop their communication skills. All staff, including those in non-child facing roles, receive training in sign-supported English.

About the Role:

• Experience or a strong interest in working with children with complex needs.
• Confident in managing behaviour and supporting diverse learning requirements.
• Ability to build meaningful professional relationships with students.
• Support for non-verbal children and those facing communication challenges.
• A fun yet firm presence in the classroom.
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
