Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate candidate who to work at one of our top schools. The school has an Autism Resource Provision and they will require you as a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a year 3 child with Autism.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will require you to be dealing with challenging behaviour and using various reinforcement strategies to provide support for these two boys best challenging position and would require someone who can defuse tough situations. As SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with individual students who require additional support due to behavioural challenges.

SEN Teaching Assistant | Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

SEN Teaching Assistant | Requirements:

• Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
• Some basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
• Bachelor's degree (Education Studies, Psychology or Sports Degrees are welcome)
