About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with children who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This role offers both supply and long-term opportunities within a large and supportive trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with PMLD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver high-quality education and care.
- Monitor and record students’ progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, specifically working with children who have PMLD.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and needs associated with PMLD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
