SEND Case Officer - Surrey County Council : Job Details

The starting salary for this position is £35,730 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

We are excited to be recruiting two new enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Case Officers to work within our Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Service. This role is open to hybrid working and as a team we split our time between working from home and collaborating together in our Woking office.

We currently have two positions available:

• 1 x full-time (36 hours per week), permanent position
• 1 x full-time (36 hours per week), fixed term/secondment position (18 month contract)

About the Role

The service has undergone a rapid transformation and we are now looking for dedicated people to join us in moving forward positively with continuous improvements; working towards robust and positive outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

On a day-to-day basis you will be working closely with the families of children with special educational needs and disabilities to ensure bespoke, holistic delivery plans are in place that best assist the child and their family to meet their needs and achieve their potential. In all that you do, you will ensure that no-one is left behind.

Your reflective nature and passionate approach will see you driving forward improvements which will be delivered through high quality work. You'll be a clear and comprehensive communicator and through effective organisational skills you'll ensure that we meet and look to push beyond our obligations.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

• Good knowledge of educational settings and a willingness to develop this further
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to write coherent reports
• Passion and experience of working with vulnerable/young children
