We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Maths to join a vibrant SEND school in Halifax. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs, particularly those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEND and SEMH.
  • Teach across the curriculum as required, adapting lessons to support learners in various subjects.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Promote positive social and emotional development in students, using tailored interventions when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with SEND and SEMH students.
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship).
  • Possess a DBS on the update service or willingness to get one.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young people.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
