A specialist school providing day support for young people with Autism spectrum conditions or additional special educational needs is urgently seeking a teaching assistant to join their team on a full time basis, 8:30am-4:00pm daily.
As a SEND teaching assistant you're preparing the students for adult life, through person-centred academic and vocational study programmes. This school embraces a broad and specialist curriculum that suits the needs of the individual students it encompasses outdoor learning like forest school and educational activities that align with there interests like music making. By working together with this exceptional educational team, you will increase resilience, confidence, self-esteem, emotional intelligence and well-being in these children and young adults truly making a difference. This role will encompass you supporting learners on a 1:1 and classroom basis. Class sizes are small (no more than 10 pupils) so you can offer a safe and enabling environment to thrive.
This setting supports children and young adults between the ages of 7-19 years and boasts extensive grounds. This role is needed on a permanent basis and is a term time only opportunity.
