SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join aninclusive and supportive team in a primary school. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) within a school setting, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Day to Day of the role:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with additional needs, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and behavioural challenges.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs of SEN students.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Implement SEN strategies and interventions to promote student engagement and learning.
- Collaborate with teachers to create and maintain individual education plans (IEP's) for students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or similar setting.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Familiarity with SEN strategies and interventions, and a commitment to ongoing professional development in this area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- A positive attitude and a passion for inclusive education.
