SEND Teaching Assistant- Liverpool

Milk Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant for a SEND Primary School located in the Huyton area of Liverpool (L36) area to work on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible! The schools we are working with cater to students from the age of 4 to 11 with a range of complex SEND needs. This is a school, who prides itself on being happy and caring, with high standards of attainment and behaviour. SEN needs in this school include Autism, complex needs, profound and multiple learning disabilities and learning difficulties. Experience working with these needs is necessary.

SEND Teaching Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
• Support the pupil consistently on a 1:1 basis whilst responding to their individual needs
• Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
• Deliver catch-up sessions

SEND Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.
• Must have a passion for education
• Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
• Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
• Must have experience using Personal Care
