Tradewind Recruitment is excited to be supporting a dedicated SEN School in Derby with their search for a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant. This role will involve supporting children with challenging behaviour, helping them engage in their learning and develop key social and academic skills. The position will start on Monday, 27th January, and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students with special educational needs.

• A specialist school focused on supporting children with a variety of needs, including those with challenging behaviours.

• A compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience or a keen interest in working with children with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to provide one-on-one and group support, helping students engage in their learning and manage their behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• A willingness to collaborate with staff and support the development of individual learning plans for students.
• Experience or relevant training in special education or behaviour management would be beneficial.
