A Primary School in Bristol is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with visual impairments. This is a great opportunity as you will be joining the hard working team who work closely with the SENCo to support individual children to access all their learning.
This primary school works hard to create a learning environment for their pupils, offering an exciting curriculum where children are valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The Role
This position is for someone to support a primary aged child who has listening impairment needs. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with the student to adapt the learning environment to allow them to access learning and develop to their full potential.
The Head Teacher is looking for an individual who can provide a positive and empathetic approach, who is patient and able to take their own initiative to adapt lessons.
You will be expected to:
Have experience working with SEND children in the past.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher to adapt learning environments.
Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil.
Communicate and observe personal and learning development
Work closely with the SENCo.
