We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Account Manager to join the Equinoxe team based in Essex, at what is an exciting time of change and opportunity. The role will play a pivotal part in driving the growth and success of our business. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, ensuring the efficient running of their supply chain whilst delivering outstanding customer service. Additionally, the individual will be expected to work closely with their customers to identify and convert new business opportunities. The core objective is to retain and grow these accounts by managing all day to day issues by providing relevant, timely and accurate information.

Responsibilities:

  • To manage a team of Account Managers to help them support their customers. The role will involve visiting customers with the relevant Account Manager on a regular basis. Undertake regular 121’s with the team, set objectives and PDP’s as well as identify development needs and implement the appropriate training programmes.
  • Part of the escalation process for any issues that cannot be resolved at Account Manager level
  • To create effective Account Plans and to use these as tactical tools to retain & grow existing business
  • Closely managing Price; Quality & Service with each assigned customer through:
  • Price Checking of new contract SKU’s
  • Invoice Checking Audits to ensure suppliers are upholding agreed tendered prices.
  • Managing suppliers against agreed SLA’s
  • Assisting with the mobilisation of any new wins/business
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships by being professional & efficient
  • Ensuring that all customer meetings have clear objectives and feedback. Action points are fully captured within the customer folders
    • Take ownership of any day to day supply and quality issues and to resolve with the relevant supplier
    • Supporting Commercial team in maintaining customer price files
    • To offer support to customers with online ordering systems (Freshmarket, Marketman, Procure Wizard, Fourth etc.)
    • Representative for Equinoxe in GPO Project Groups, taking ownership for any new plans or processes and rolling these out internally

    • Analytical and numerate: Must be able to source and analyse data and interpret it to provide relevant information to the customer and the company. Highly numerate and able to identify accurately numerical information, fully understanding its’ interpretation
    • Attention to Detail: Focussed on detail and accuracy with regard to written communication, statistics, system input and excel spreadsheets
    • Communication skills: Can communicate simply and easily with people using the appropriate language and style. Must be able to express ideas well and give information and explanations that are clear and understood
    • Commercially Aware: Aware of business opportunities and what is going on in the market place
